I'm starting to feel neglected. None of my many pastry snacks have been drugged with anything, and I have yet to have one magic-addled brainless bloke pining away for me in a drooling haze. I mean, just what's wrong with me, anyway?

This is what I get for focusing on work. Oh, well.

Weasleys! Get your arses to the Burrow sometime. It's bloody weird, this place being as quiet as it is.

Just come by the shop sometime - I'm sure me and George can think of something.

If it's not an accident it doesn't count, Ronnie. Anyway, you two would give me something hideous, and I'd be forced to destroy you both. And I don't want to destroy you. I rather like you.

Accidents are the order of the day around here.

I don't know why you actually want to be drugged. Two words: Cormac. McLaggen.

Because it's fun! Anyway, I just want someone to get drugged and fawn over me for a while.

You're a whole new level of MENTAL, Ginny. And you don't need to drug people to fawn over you.

What? It's like when you're bloody pissed and you can say whatever you want and totally get away with it. It's fantastic.

And what about the morning after? When did I become so pragmatic?

You take a hangover draught and jot off a few apologies, and do it all again that night! Honestly, Mel, you're too young to be a wet blanket.

I just like my nights out less awkward.

I could do with some pining, but I'd prefer it without the drool.

There's a point. Still, given that blokes my age are mostly dog as it is, a bit of drool has to be expected.

Entirely good point! Though they're thankfully not all as bad as that Auror I saw this morning. I asked him a perfectly innocent question, and he opened his mouth and he moaned at me.

Huh. Usually they're a bit more subtle than that. Can't say I'm surprised, though.

It was horrifying. It sounded like he felt it, too. Ugh, now I want to take another shower.

Moaning? You mean, he's evolved from grunting?

You know, that's one way of looking at it. (I don't know what I did to deserve that kind of creepiness! I just took some of his candy. A perfectly demure toffee.)

As much as I appreciate the sentiment coming from you, what do figure? Me standing in empty rooms yelling at the crockery?

What are you coming by, then?

I really love the image of you standing around yelling at the crockery. I was thinking more of the incessant chatter of you and mum together.

I'll come over tomorrow.

Mum has lost her mind and keeps wandering about singing showtunes. It's entertaining to a point, but I don't feel any great urge to join in.

You do that.

I'm sure you can distract her with Celestina Warbeck.

Oh, hell. She's been singing Celestina Warbeck for the last twenty bloody years. At least this is a change of pace.
