There's all this brilliant stuff going on lately and I'm too buried in studies to participate. That, I don't think it needs to be said, is not on.

I wasn't even going to go to the ball. Really. I don't do the girly thing too well and it's not as if I'd break any hearts keeping my arse at home. Still, there's a bit of pressure on from work, all these little side comments about how it's for charity, it's for hospital, and as people who want to find employment at said hospital it'd be right out for us to give it a miss.

Then again, I've been thinking a bit about that lately. The working for hospital thing. I don't particularly like St. Mungo's. I mean, it's good for what it is, but. The wards and the long-term patients, the politics and paperwork and officialness of it all...I dunno.

Seems to me there's a lot of people out there who can't get to Mungo's. There's...you know. Clinics and things. Maybe somewhere outside London, for people who can't get to the city every time something goes wrong. People who can't afford it, maybe. I think I'd rather work someplace like that. Someplace that actually needs me, instead of me feeling like one more number in the new wave. That makes sense, yeah? Anyway, I'm looking into that.
