There's all this brilliant stuff going on lately and I'm too buried in studies to participate. That, I don't think it needs to be said, is not on.

I wasn't even going to go to the ball. Really. I don't do the girly thing too well and it's not as if I'd break any hearts keeping my arse at home. Still, there's a bit of pressure on from work, all these little side comments about how it's for charity, it's for hospital, and as people who want to find employment at said hospital it'd be right out for us to give it a miss.

Then again, I've been thinking a bit about that lately. The working for hospital thing. I don't particularly like St. Mungo's. I mean, it's good for what it is, but. The wards and the long-term patients, the politics and paperwork and officialness of it all...I dunno.

Seems to me there's a lot of people out there who can't get to Mungo's. There's...you know. Clinics and things. Maybe somewhere outside London, for people who can't get to the city every time something goes wrong. People who can't afford it, maybe. I think I'd rather work someplace like that. Someplace that actually needs me, instead of me feeling like one more number in the new wave. That makes sense, yeah? Anyway, I'm looking into that.

Mmm. Bully idea, but it would require more galleons than I'll ever see in my life.

Investors for a charitable clinic for low-income wizards? Something tells me volunteers would be lacking.

It's called advertising and philanthropy. It's a business, not just a clinic. Just because you don't have the bollocks to do it, doesn't mean it can't be done.

Generally to the clubs.

That doesn't help me. I don't suppose 'the clubs' are on the floo network.

It's just I've not really been out since I left school.

My gran says that. You must be really old at heart. No wonder

They go out. Into the world. Sometimes to pubs and clubs. Sometimes on holiday to sunny, warm places. Sometimes they just hang out. Occasionally they go on dates with one another. They also go to sporting events and something called a cinemon cinema.

I went from school to work to a training program. I've never been to a pub outside Hogsmeade and I only know about dating from school. I am a pathetic person. I've come to terms with it.

You ever wonder where Fred and I got the dough together to start up WWW? A benefactor who won't let me pay him back now business is booming. I think passing that money on to a new venture instead would be a good use for it.

Of course you can. It was never mine in the first place, I just used it. How about you do the same? Use it and then when you get enough to stand on your own feet, invest it in some other worthy project. Something good should come out of that horrible affair.
